The Grand Hotel Aminta is a first class hotel and resort. The beauty of the property along with the hospitality makes this a first choice for discriminating travelers as well as families. The service is beyond 5 star, the staff goes out of their way to make you feel like you are number one. They are professional in the art of hospitality. The restaurant boasts a gourmet seasonal menu which we would consider fine dining.
We would highly recommend this paradise to anyone ever thinking of traveling in the south of Italy.

I Love the aminta hotel because it has the most brillent food and drinks. i also love going out to the pool for a dip in and the lunch bar is also great to.
I missed coming to the hotel for a few months only because my mums scaried of planes.

Just returned from the Aminta after 11 days.This is an exquisite hotel impeccably run with courteous and professional staff.It enjoys breathtaking views over the Bay of Naples.The food here is also excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

I just wanted to thank you on behalf of myself, Lynn & the kids for yet another fantastic holiday in Sorrento. We have had an enforced two year break from Sorrento, following the birth of our son Thomas last year but once we arrived back we felt immediately at home. Although this was our 6th stay at the Aminta it never ceases to surprise me how the staff remain almost unchanged every year and always recognise us. This meant that the moment we arrived we all felt completely relaxed which is testament to everyone who works at your wonderful hotel.
We last stayed at the Aminta in May, 2006 for mine & Lynn’s Wedding when we enjoyed the most amazing two weeks of our lives. We were able to share that occasion with our family & friends but this year was the first time we had travelled abroad with just Ryan, Scott & our latest addition, 17 month old Thomas and we couldn’t wait to give him his first taste of Italy. I am sure it won’t be his last. Even though he won’t remember anything about it I have taken so much camcorder footage and taken so many photos he will at some point realise what a great time he had!
There is a special place in our hearts for Sorrento and the Aminta and always will be. I proposed to my wife here and we got married here but there are a number of other factors that make it such a special place to us and they are as follows.
• The people of Sorrento and the staff at the Aminta. The Italians have a reputation for placing importance on the family and particularly children, which was very apparent during our stay. We were stopped on the streets of Sorrento on countless occasions by locals, complementing us on our beautiful little boy. It was so touching. To our delight and surprise we were also recognised and welcomed back to Sorrento by a number of shop owners and waiters at cafes down in the town. The way of life is very different to what we experience in England where everything is done at a frantic pace and no one has time to enjoy life properly or offer that personal touch/attention to detail. Both of the last qualities are in abundance at the Aminta. It can’t be coincidence that having always asked for sunbeds in a certain place over the years that on recognising us Luigi arranged for our sunbeds to be positioned in the same place without us even asking! This small detail may go unnoticed by some people but to us it’s one of many examples of what makes the whole experience so very special, a feeling that is (and has always been in the past) maintained throughout the whole stay.
• The beauty of the area and the many places to visit. I could sit all day long on the balcony of our room gazing out at the views (something I spent a fair amount of time doing when Thomas was asleep in our room during the day and at night). There can’t be many more spectacular sights in the world than those you get from every side of the hotel, whether it be Capri in the distance, Vesuvius across the bay of Naples or Sorrento itself. Looking down at Sorrento is amazing both during the day and at night and I would recommend to anyone to make the 10-15 minute walk down into Sorrento in order to take in the views which are breathtaking. We walked down every day with a buggy and it was no problem – we even walked back up one day although this was because we missed the courtesy bus. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this if you have a buggy but we made it with a few stops along the way. There are so many lovely little shops and fascinating buildings down some of the side streets in Sorrento that you could spend a week just exploring Sorrento itself. We didn’t do much travelling this time because of Thomas but we did manage a trip to Capri which we also love. However, we hope to be able to come back in the coming years and re-visit the likes of Ischia, Pompei, Herculanium, Vesuvius and Naples which are all steeped in history and are fascinating and beautiful places.
To bring this rather long e-mail to a conclusion, Lynn & I would just like to pass on our special thanks to a few people. For a start, Senior Michel and his staff in the dining room who put up with the noise and mess created by Thomas during our week long holiday! We really appreciated the attention everyone gave to all 3 of our boys, particularly Michel himself, Salvatore and Bo Bo who were all fantastic with Thomas. Because of the way they were looked after, Ryan & Scott have both expressed their desire to come back in the future so it wouldn’t surprise me if it became a family tradition for them as well as us to holiday at the Aminta. We would also like to that all those who work on reception who were friendly and helpful as always – we’re just sorry to have missed Layla this year! And finally to you Gianfranco who helped make our visit possible. Without your assistance in getting us to and from the Aminta and your huge generosity we probably wouldn’t have been able to come back this year. I chatted to a few of your staff about you and they all spoke very highly of you and with genuine respect and affection – something which filters through to everyone who works for you and gives the Aminta that special family feel to it.
We hope it won’t be long before we return but until then you have our best wishes and we will be regularly having a peak at you all through the webcam on your website!

Just got back from a truly wonderful week's holiday staying at the Grand Hotel Aminta!! Everything about the hotel was fantastic, the staff, facilities, pool and especially the food. Although it's been six months since our first visit to Italy, I can still envision the beautiful scenes from the Grand Hotel Aminta. Just looked at the Vesuviuscam, reminding me of that wonderful view looking out over the Mediterranean towards Mt. Vesuvius. The hotel, situated high above Sorrento, positively gleamed, the staff was wonderful, and the food was amazing! We were visitors in March, considered to be in the off-season, but the Aminta showed us first class service. We appreciated the shuttle to and from town, highly recommend the crazy ride in the blue bus to Positano, and intend to come back soon. Thank you!

This Hotel is the very best we have ever stayed at, the service, food and cleanliness and friendliness of all who work there was second to none. We will go back our holiday was fantastic we have recommended this hotel to all our friends and colleagues. You made my holiday after being diagnosed with cancer last July and going through surgery and chemotherapy this holiday was what kept me going through the long 6 months I have always wanted to go to Sorrento it was my dream It was magical so many thanks to all of you at the Grand Hotel Aminta for making me feel special.

We stayed at the Aminta in August and we had a fantastic time. Our room was clean and the views stunning. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The menu was varied and food delicious. Cant wait to return.

Returned yesterday from a fabulous week spent at the Aminta. The stylish decor and spectacular views were even better than the photos had promised and a constant delight. The food was great and all the staff were incredibly professional and courteous. Thanks for a lovely holiday!

Its hard for me and my girlfriend to imagine, that it is nearly 4 weeks since we stayed in your magnificent hotel. For the second year in a row your hotel was one of the best parts of our holiday in beautiful Sorrento.
From the moment I contacted you last january to see could we book the same room as the year before, I couldn’t have asked for more helpful friendly advice and help in securing the room. Then when we arrived to your hotel, the wonderful warm welcome we got, and of course the bottle of champagne that you arrived to our room with.It was the start of a perfect 8 days.
Again, like last year, we never got the name of your staff, so we’d like to say thank you to all your staff, especially, everybody at reception, the four barmen, the waiters(fantastic food!), shuttle bus drivers, room cleaners, everybody.
My brother and his wife are staying in your hotel (booking name either Geraghty or O’Driscoll ) in September arriving either on the 15th or 16th, they are going for their 1st wedding anniversary. Having heard so much of what we told them last year, they just had to go!!! And after this year, they are counting the days, so they can experience it themselves!!!
So, finally, all the best to everyone at the hotel,Thanks for everything and we hope to see you all in the future again

Je viens just d' ecrire dans votre Guestbook comme c'etait bien dan votre hotel. J'ecrivais en Nederlandais pour les personnes de Belgique. On etait tres bien chez vous. Tout était en ordre, la piscine, les chambres, le bar, la réception qui nous a aidée pour aller à Capri parceque l autobus de jetair nous avais oublier (merci). Aussi les diners étaient tres bonne et een grand merci au chef kok qui adorais chaque soir notre fille, elle envoient une foto pour lui mercier.

Net terug van onze vakantie in Sorrento. Een adembenemende streek.
Hotel Aminta was voor ons uitstekend meegevallen. Een rustige ligging met een uitstekend team dat zeer vriendelijk is tegen de mensen. Aan de receptie zijn ze zeer hulpvaardig zowel ook in het Frans als in het Engels. Er was een gratis bus naar Sorrento wat zeker een pluspunt is. Het was overal kraaknet en de kamers in villa Aminta vielen zeer goed mee.
Het zwembad was zeer goed onderhouden door de vriendelijke Luigi. Het avondmaal met keuzemenu was piekfijn verzorgd door een zeer vriendelijk kok die elke avond kwam zwaaien naar ons dochtertje. Niet te vergeten is ook het prachtige zicht vanuit het hotel op de baai, op Sorrento en op de Vesuvius waar je uren kan naar kijken vanuit de salons aan de bar.
Bedankt voor de fijne vakantie en we komen nog eens terug.
